Vintage Steinhäger German Book Liquor Bottle Decanter West Germany Ceramic

Vintage Steinhäger German ceramic liquor bottle designed in the form of a book. This mid-century novelty decanter features a rich brown glazed cover with faux book spine details reading “Bibliothek des Geistes,” “Neueste Ausgabe,” and “Steinhäger.” The front is decorated with a charming illustration and the phrase “Das Buch für ihn” (“The book for him”). Produced in West Germany, this piece dates to the 1950s–1970s and was originally used to hold Steinhäger, a traditional German juniper spirit. The hidden pour opening at the top confirms its function as a liquor bottle rather than a vase or bookend. A great display piece for a vintage bar, library décor, or novelty bottle collection.
